I’ve made a deposit on a rental vacation home in Florida for Jan/March ; but didn’t sign a rental agreement;

can I obtain my deposit back from the landlord given the 5 month advance notice of cancellation? All I have is a receipt of deposit from the landlord. How would I go about notifying the landlord of my desire to have the deposit returned to me and cancel the verbal agreement to rent.

    Call them up. You will probably not get your deposit back.
