Your story does not add up at all. If this guy was so bad you would have moved years ago, so don't crap on your Landlord. Gas lines leak when they get flexed too many times and that's why it was red tagged. How many times have you moved it in 8+ years? The Landlord was on vacation so cut him some slack. You could have called him to ask if you could buy a new stove and take it off the next months rent. I have seen your kind in the past... grow up.
