Ok a fresh 18 so you know i'm living restless. I've been thinking about planning a vacation, anywhere hot with a beautiful clean beach. Florida sounds good but im open for your opinion. Im planning on getting a 15 passenger van for me and my team. I will have my permit and license all in just one week ;) . Every one who wants to come will have to chip in. If everyone comes only the first line up will come and thats 12. i doubt if 12 people stick with it and go so i'll say 6 or 7 what hotel should i pick, what car rental company and how much should i tell everyone to chip in and how should i go about telling them.

The first thing you need to do is set your budget – ask the people who want to come what the maximum amount they're willing to spend on flights, accommodation and the van. I'm assuming everyone is going to be responsible for person expenses such as food, drinks and sightseeing etc. I can't see any reason why the total cost shouldn't be split equally and I would imagine your friends already know this!

When you determine their maximum budget, ensure you stick to it and it should be fine. However, before you actually book anything, you may want to ask them to pay a non-refundable deposit so you don't lose out if any of them cancel at the last minute.

As you're planning to hire a 15 passenger van, I'm assuming you're planning on doing a fly-drive and, therefore, staying in different hotels along the way.

Discuss with your friends what your main priorities are for the holiday. Do you want to visit the theme parks, lounge around on the beach all day, explore Florida, etc? Once you've got this information, you can begin your research.

If beaches are you're main thing, I think there are far better choices than Florida in terms of beauty and cost, but it all depends on what else you want to do.For example, the Philippines, Thailand and the Carribean have their fare share of gorgeous beaches, as well as Malindi in Kenya, Boa Vista on Cape Verde, the Maldives, etc.

As there is a group of you, you may also be able to get group booking discounts so keep a look out for these and negotiate hard :)
