Hello there
My family and I want to take a vacation to Florida. We are very interested in the Tampa beaches like Indian Rocks Beach, Bellair Beach etc and considering a beach condo rental.
We also like Ft.Myers area because it also looks pretty in pictures. We want to rent a condo or house there as well. What is a nice beach town near Ftmyers where its quiet and rentals are available?
Please help us decide which area is more suited for a quiet family vacation on the beach with an infant. WHere do we get more bang for our buck in terms of rentals tampa area or ft.myers? No hotels, just vacation rentals either condo or house(if its not too expensive). Our budget is maximum 1700 for the week for the accomodations. No place too loud or wild with teens etc. Not into swimming in the water but want to sit on the sand enjoy the weather.

I live in Saint Augustine Florida and I have been to both places. If you are going down during spring break, avoid Fort Myers. Otherwise, Fort Myers is my favorite. Also, if you like the quiet, check out Sanibel Island. It is part of Fort Myers. That is the place to go to relax on the beach without all the noise.
