Renting a car for roadtrip?

My boyfriend wants to rent a car from a car rental agency, and hes 17, will be 18 July 31st. But he wants to drive up to north carolina from florida to see me on my vacation, so we were wondering if his dad could put the car under his name, his dad has the same name but my boyfriend is the second, and drive the car up and turn it in at a place up there. Would they i.d. him when he turns it in, and if he did, would it even matter because they have the same name?

My husband and I will be moving to Destin, Florida this coming June/July. Does anyone know a good, safe place to live? We are hoping to avoid apartment and cannot find anything online other than vacation rentals. Any help would be appreciated!!!!!!!!!
we are moving there and are not looking for vacation rentals! not even asking for a place to live just what neighborhoods are safest type of thing...

Florida. Renting A Car Age. Help Please!!?

So My husband and I are going to Florida on vacation. We plan on flying into Orlando.
We are not 25 just yet and can't find a place that rents out vehicles unless you are 25! (Annoying thing is we both have perfect driving records.)

We don't want to drive because this was supposed to a be a relaxing trip and it's a very very long ride.
Is there anything we can do? Is there any car rental places that we have missed. Please don't sugest cabs and buses we want to go through more than just Orlando on our timing, and if that's not possible then we don't want to waist our money and not see much of the state.

Any suggestions, or are we just SOL?

my boyfriend and I are taking a trip to Florida to get out of Michigans cold winter weather. We only want to spend about 500$ and we have a place to stay. The thing is we wont have a rental car so we will be walking and taking taxis everywhere during our 5 day vacation. Would we be better off sticking to orlando and going to some of the parks there or is there lots to do in Miami?We want to relax by the pool but we also want to do things during the day not just eat and drink

We want a beach front condo that is non smoking, no pets, and has free beach chairs and umbrella! This is apparently very hard to find. Does anyone know which properties offer this service for free? I know Maravilla does....any others? Also, any good vacation rental sites where I fill out a form listing all my criteria and have someone email me a list of condos that meet my criteria? Thanks so much!

ETA: We only want to stay 4 or 5 nights, so a place that books by the day is a must. As far as price range, somewhere around 0 a night, give or take.
