In February of 2009, I flew to Florida to escape the Michigan winter and spend some time with my parents. There were two place where we went kayaking: One was the newly opened Robinson Preserve at 1704 99th Street Northwest Bradenton, FL 34209 and the other was South Lido Park and Nature Center at Taft Dr, Sarasota, FL, 34236 The Gumbo Boogie Band (the first band in this video) is on myspace at www.myspace.com Their song “Creole Woman” sounds better live but you can listen to the studio version there. I still cant get it out of my head so I guess it’s pretty good. I noticed they also have photos taken from that night (Feb. 19 2009) but we weren’t in any of the shots.
