In February we left New York and it’s frigid ultra-cold and snowy winter for ten days in sunny Florida! We went to New Smyrna Beach and The Brevard Zoo plus enjoyed different types of food and drink as we headed south. The best part of the whole vacation was that we found a house in Florida and are moving down there this July 2011!!

Henry Kissinger December 26, 1971 017-100 White House Telephone President Richard Nixon talks with Henry Kissinger the day after Christmas. After discussing Kissinger’s vacation with his children at Key Biscayne, FL, they talk about a bombing raid in Vietnam. Beginning at 4:26, Nixon and Kissinger discuss the problems that India and Pakistan were then having over Bangladesh. Kissinger mentions that his former boss Nelson Rockefeller called the day before to wish him Merry Christmas and to agree with Kissinger’s stance on India and Pakistan. Unbeknownst to Kissinger, it was Nixon who called Rockefeller and asked him to call Kissinger, because Nixon believed that Kissinger was depressed and needed cheering up.
